New Tracks Added to the Opendoor Edition

We hope you are all safe and healthy, and surviving these crazy times.

In addition, we wish to announce the release of three new tracks for the Opendoor Edition of Waywords and Meansigns.

Julia Barnes, Julia Henneman, Yung-Tuan Ku and Judith Brokking recorded a few passage from the Finnegans Wake translation into Dutch, by Robbert-Jan Henkes and Erik Bindervoet. In this collaborative effort, each performer brings something of her own into the mix. The uniqueness is due, among other things, to the diverse backgrounds of the performers, who are not only musicians but also come from the world of theater. Not only for Dutch speakers!

Steve Chisnell and Randon Myles recorded two tracks which, as they describe it, seek to represent the dream-space atmosphere of the novel through its expansive space, unusual sound palette, and sonic depth. Reflecting the unique structure of the book, Steve and Randon’s tracks open and close with the same musical motifs to reflect the novel’s opening and closing sentence fragments and its never-ending cyclical nature.

Julia Barnes, Julia Henneman, Yung-Tuan Ku and Judith Brokking recorded page 373 line 35 through page 377 line 1.

Steve Chisnell and Randon Myles recorded page 73 line 23 through page 75 line 19.

Steve and Randon recorded also page 275 line 2 through page 292 line 36.
