Maharajah

Maharajah of Waywords and MeansignsMy name’s Maharajah. I was born in 1991 in Germany. I first discovered that I had the technical means to record sound from my instruments into my computer in 2009. I’ve since recorded seven albums and fourteen EPs, but have recently switched to more old-school ways of capturing sound, namely Tascam Portastudios 424 and 488. I also shoot analogue photography. I got into James Joyce by way of having some of my own writing compared to his, and was further acquainted with him through English courses at uni. Now I hope to combine my love for Joyce with my love for music through this contribution to Waywords and Meansigns.

Maharajah contributed to the Opendoor Edition of Waywords and Meansigns in 2017, recording “Ann Alive”, page 139 line 15 through line 28.
